Configure the Suunto 5 G1 Watch during exercise so that you don't lose momentum. The watch itself has a lot of stamina - it can go a full week without being charged. Each time you start training, you will get a notification that reminds you how many hours of charge are left on the watch.

If you don't already have an idea of what you're training for and when you need to train, you can choose your own fitness goals and set the Suunto 5's adaptive training plan to 'maintain', 'improve' or 'boost'.

Sync to Suunto app to explore new heatmap tracks directly from your watch. By connecting to your favourite sports services from Suunto app you’ll get even more out of your experience.

Many activities are done while going around and around. Cross country skiing loop, speed skating ring, running in track & field or even just running in a park. Automatic location-based lap insights help you analyse the stats for each loop. Loops can be viewed afterwards in the Suunto app.

Exhausted after a full day of sport? The watch also tracks your 24/7 activity including stress and sleep, so you can make sure that you are recovered and ready for your next sports activity.

Safe Mode

Quick access to your GPS coordinates and other key information of your current location as well as your starting point. Useful when sharing your location with a friend, when you need to radio for help or navigating back to your car.

Wing for Life World Run: Catcher Car Mode

Wings for Life World Run feature simulates the Catcher Car to motivate your daily workouts and help you train for the race. The Catcher Car begins pursuit 30 minutes after you start, gradually speeding up as it attempts to overtake you. As you run, you can see how far back it is, and the estimated distance and time duration you will run before it will catch you. 

Strava Mode: 

Get specific about how much work goes into your workouts and active pursuits with real-time Relative Effort. Whether your activity is slow and steady or short and strenuous, Relative Effort personalises your heart rate zones, so you can turn the intensity up or down a notch whilst in the middle of your fitness routine. Once you're done, sync your activity to Strava and get more of your workout with Strava Summit: deep dive into performance data, see how much progress you’ve made overall and where you are in your training cycle – whether you’re peaking, maintaining or recovering.
