* Motormovers place excessive demand on the battery, taking out much more energy than normal on-board appliances. This must be taken into account when buying - fit the largest possible battery within the space available.
IT IS IMPORTANT TO ENSURE BATTERIES ARE KEPT CHARGED, ESPECIALLY IF NOT BEING USED FREQUENTLY. PLEASE USE THE FOLLOWING PRECAUTIONS:
• Charge in well ventilated area
• Avoid sources of ignition close to batteries
• No smoking
• No naked flames
• Before using a battery charger always consult the manufacturers literature.
• Always remember to switch off the charger before connecting or disconnecting the battery
• Always use a breather tube when charging a battery (this helps to disperse the gases that naturally build up)
Care & maintenance of your leisure battery:
Always use extreme care when working with batteries as they contain hazardous substances - wear goggles & rubber gloves when handling or charging.
Recharge the battery after every Use - do not wait until the ‘day before the next required usage’.
Never leave the battery in a partially or fully discharged state.
When not in use for over 3 weeks, fully recharge the battery.
For recharging, a high quality intelligent 3 stage charger is recommended; this reduces the risk of overcharging the product and damaging the internal components.
Store in a cool dry place in an upright condition.
Always recharge in a well-ventilated area.
